At one stage they were 48-6, but staged a good recovery, with Kendle making a patient 50. He was eventually bowled by Alistair Jones as Millhillians made it to 127 all out. Peacock's opening 11-over burst did most of the damage, and he finished with 4-19.

In reply, Baldock lost Peacock and Richard Waters early on, but the experienced head of Andy Payne steered them towards their target with 31 not out.

Dupuy (16) and Cant (13) also made useful contributions, while Giles Naylor joined Payne at the finish with a destructive innings of 34 not out, including one huge six.

Baldock seonds took part in a high-scoring draw with Allenburys, which earned them a valuable 19 points.

Baldock reached 203-7 from 53 overs, with Paul Gentle hitting 63 and Ranjit Rayat contributing a dashing 50.

Allenbury looked set to reach their target comfortably. However, five wickets from Ben Diplock and three from Nigel Gazely left the visitors needing 12 runs from the final over. They managed only eight.

Baldock's Sunday team were put to the sword by Holwell at Avenue Park.

Fielding a weakened batting line up, Baldock were bowled out for just 51. Martin Impey was the only batsman to make an impression, scoring 21 not out.

Holwell cruised to victory, knocking off the runs in 10.3 overs for the loss of three wickets.

- GREAT Chishill seconds hauled themselves out of the relegation battle with a deserved win over second-placed Harlton.

Don Chilton was once again the Chishill hero with 4-44 as the visitors restricted Harlton to 136.

Spenny Loveday belied his years to get the visitors off to a fine start as he hit an elegant 30.

Simon Coxall then hit 42 off 37 balls, before Tom Guerrero finished off the innings in explosive style with an array of boundaries that saw his side home by six wickets.
