AFTER last week's washout Bassingbourn seconds returned to action against Barrington with a win that sent them joint top of the Cambs League 4.
Bassingbourn were put into bat, with Smith and Klein making a solid start, before the latter was caught and bowled.
Smith moved on to 20 before playing one shot too many, and as a result Bassingbourn were two down.
Andrews and Cottrell moved the score on to 72 with some good running between the wickets, before both went in a collapse that saw four wickets go in seven balls without a run scored.
That left the lower order to try to reach a decent target, and a final total of 112 was reached, largely down to some positive batting from Littlefair in his first league knock of the season.
The bowling had to be tight for Bassingbourn to win, and teenager Sykes and captain Bryant led the way as Barrington were 62-1 after 20 overs, with Bryant bowling his 10 for just 27 runs.
The second wicket was proving elusive, until Robinson clean bowled Barrington's number three to give him the wicket his bowling deserved.
At 75-2 Barrington were in a strong position, before a spell of 5-3-3-3 from 15-year-old man-of-the-match Taylor swung the game Bassingbourn's way.
A direct hit from Andrews at short fine leg ran out the Barrington captain, and Bassingbourn were in the ascendancy.
Smith claimed three wickets at the other end to bring the win in sight, and Barrington were all out for 97.
