BALDOCK defeated Reed on Saturday in a 40-over clash with Rob Peacock starring with the bat.
Baldock bowled first and restricted Reed to 178-5 off their 40 overs in what was an all-round impressive bowling performance.
However, Reed's Chris Jackson did his best to spoil the fun with a classy, hard hit 50, before Alistair Jones bowled him out as part of his 2-27.
Pete Tily also looked good and his 1-23 from eight excellent overs was the pick of the bowling action.
The Baldock reply got off to good start with Matt Ayre (24) and Nick Blenkin (26) putting on 50 for the first wicket.
And when they departed Nigel Gazely (23), Rob Cant (27 not out) and Peacock (41 not out) took control and pushed Baldock to a fine seven-wicket victory with two overs to spare.
Baldock's Sunday team met Reed seconds, with Baldock reaching 150 all out off 39.4 overs, with Rob Peacock scoring a rapid 44 and Nick Blenkin 35.
In reply, Reed had reached 98-2 with 16 overs left, and despite some fine bowling by Baldock's attack they always looked favourites to win.
However, an inspired spell of leg spin from Richard Lawes saw Baldock home by six runs in what was an extremely tight finish.
Lawes took 5-28 at the death and turned the match around.
A young Baldock second team lost by 90 runs against Hatfield Hyde despite some impressive play from the colts.
Hatfield recorded 219 off 40 overs with under-13 player Jack Mead taking 1-31.
Baldock's response never really took off, with the highlight coming from 13-year-old Luke Mongston's reverse sweep for four. They could reach only 128 all out.
