DAVID Baker was crowned winner of the Heydon Grange Verables Winter Ladder last Monday.
He took the trophy with an impressive score of 365 points ahead of Martin Lane (360pts) and Richard Pepper (356pts).
The winter ladder stableford competition runs every Monday, weather and bank holidays permitting, from the end of October until the end of March and takes each competitor’s best 10 scores over that period.
All players start with their normal club handicap and there are point deductions each week for players in the first three and for any scores over 40 points.
