BASSINGBOURN produced one of their best all round displays of the season in an exciting 3-0 win over Bishop's Stortford Rovers at the Rec on Sunday.

Whites were organised, communicated well and played some lovely passing football right from the off and they led 3-0 at the break with Matt Sutton setting up two goals for Andy Jones and then Sutton and Jones combining well to set up Tom Wright.

The second half was much closer as the Whites unsurprisingly tired a little and Rovers pressed.

Stortford will probably be wondering how they failed to score but another outstanding display in goal from Charlie Catton, backed up by some great defensive work from Sam Lay, Charlie Alsop and Alex Collet-Sinfield, kept Rovers at bay and the game finished 3-0 to Bassingbourn.

Special mention should go to Arthur Baigent who ran his socks off throughout the match and will surely be getting that call up from Fabio Capello soon.
