ROYSTON Tennis Club held another successful Ansmann Tournament this week with Jackie Holmes and Roger Maybury being crowned the eventual winners.
Played on the Meridian School courts where the club is based, nine senior and seven junior players entered the competition.
In a closely fought final, Holmes and Maybury beat John Holmes and Andrew Betts by one set.
Elsewhere, the club have started their LTA Winter League fixtures, with the mixed first team beating St Neots second 5-3 with Christine Knight, Richard Maybury, Pru Burton and Andy Holmes on fine form.
The mixed seconds, featuring Emma Daintrey, Ralph Betts, Karin Lambert and Garry Tobiss, were also in action but were not so fortunate as they went down 5-3 against Soham.
