Royston and District Angling Club’s open day at Thriplow reservoir on Saturday was a great success with about 30 people, including children, having a go at fishing.
The Beginners’ Cup was won by Coby Green, who had a good catch of perch and several quality roach.”
A spokesman said: “Thanks are due to all those that helped on the day and also to JKL tackle for providing the bait.”
New season club cards are now available and the Evening League matches start on Friday, June 20, followed by the first Presidents Cup match on Sunday June 22. For further information, call Mick Rivers on 01223 870189.
