THE Sean Clark Junior Academy based at Royston Golf Club, held its annual presentation on Saturday, with most of the juniors enjoying a fun afternoon of games and quizzes.

The top prize of all round cadet went to 10-year-old Ryan Sharp, who has been a member of the Academy for three years.

Luke Bailey won the most improved player, for his performances over the year - which included winning the cadet championship in September.

The two winners of the National Skills Challenge were seven-year-old Lyle Clark and Daniel Watkinson.

Lady vice-captain Tina Collins won the ladies Christmas stableford on Tuesday, matching her handicap with 36 points.

Runner-up was ladies club champion Jenny Jarvis, while Karen Pearson continued to impress by taking third place.

The men's medal, on Saturday, was won by 7-handicapper, Chris Little, whose nett 69 was just one shot ahead of Charlie Middleton and Phil Neep. Middleton took second place on countback.

The Sunday morning men's competition, played as a two-ball texas scramble attracted a large field and Adrian Shoebridge and Steve De Fraine were the clear winners on 44 points. Ted Prestbury and Alastair Horwood were second with 42. Nigel Thomas and Terry Harvey finished third on countback, ahead of five other pairs.
