Crows get pre-season off to winning start by hitting double figures past Standon & Puckeridge
Pre-season friendly
Standon & Puckeridge 1
Royston Town 10
THE Crows opened their pre-season campaign with a stunning display of finishing as an entertaining game played at fast pace finished with an impressive scoreline.
Their County League opponents played a full part in the entirety of the game but were often caught out by the creativity and finishing prowess Paul Attfield’s side produced.
New signings Lee Wilson and Ryan Ingrey both made impressive debuts within the side with five goals being scored in each half. The attacking options for the Crows manager looks envious on paper and on this evidence could be quite frightening going into the new season in the Evo-Stik Southern League.
Matt Standen hit a fine first-half hat-trick with Kaan Fehmi converting an equally impressive brace.
In the second half Fehmi completed his hat trick from the penalty spot before Matt Standen added a fourth with further goals coming from Ross Collins, Josh Bronti and Ryan Ingey on debut to complete the scoring.
Royston Town: Norris, Endacott, Debnam, Collins, Bradshaw, Wilson, Lockett, Edwards, Bronti, Robins, Fehmi, Matt Standen, Ingrey.
