Broxbourne Ladies IV 1 Royston Ladies III 1 THIS match gave the ladies the boost they needed after a rough few weeks. They started strongly and were unfortunate to concede a goal within the first 10 minutes. But they came back well with some positive play from the midfield with Katie McNamara linking well with the forwards, and Alex Meredith-Hardy on hand to score a fine equaliser. Royston were unlucky not to score a second when Caroline Yarrow made the perfect pass to Lisa Thompson, who hit a post. The second half saw the visitors carry on where they left off, and although they lost McNamara through injury, the defence stood up well, with Teresa Smith and Jo Pearce keeping the Broxbourne defence at bay. Tash Bull's confidence is growing in goal and she made some fine saves in the second half.
