AFTER winning the toss and electing to field, Cokenach seconds made an impressive start and restricted Linton thirds to 36-2 after 20 overs thanks to some very tidy bowling from Matt Poole (1-17) and Nick Murtagh (2-17).
A spirited middle order innings from Dan Pass (46) gave Linton hope but Harry Lee (2-35) and Benny Blackaby (1-40) made sure Linton were kept to 133 off their 40 overs.
In reply Cokenach made a sticky start losing three early wickets, but skipper Paul Cresswell (54) made sure the scoreboard kept ticking over.
Dan Pass (4-24) bowled a great spell for Linton but Harry Lee (17no) completed a great all-rounder's performance to see Cokenach to victory with eight balls to spare
