Under 10 Division A

Stevenage Borough Lions 0 - 1 Knebworth Youth Cheetahs 'Yellows'

In a great advert for under-10 football, these two sides put on a fantastic game with plenty of good football at both ends.

The Knebworth team were probably not at their best and had keeper Steffan Jones to thank for a superb penalty save.

Knebworth saw chances come back off of the post but got their reward when Thomas Porter once again got on the score sheet with a well-struck shot from inside the penalty area to make it two in two games for the defender and his sixth of the season.

The welcome three points allow Knebworth to retain hopes of a top three finish which was the target set at the beginning of the season.

Unfortunately Borough, were unable to field a team for the Division 'B' fixture, conceding the three points to the Knebworth Youth Cheetahs 'Blacks' team who also have hopes of a top three finish.

Under 16 League Cup

Knebworth Youth Panthers 0 - 1 Elsenham Youth

Panthers went crashing out of the league cup competition thanks to a single goal from Elsenham.

Knebworth started the game slowly - poor passes, lethargic movement, and key players missing all contributed to this.

After 30 minutes Panthers started to play better with some great wide passes from Angus out to Baker, who in turn crossed back in to the box, but unfortunately the strike force failed to even test the Elsenham keeper.

After the break Knebworth put the pressure on with some quick moves down the wing by Borrie and Bondy, and through the centre with Anyadi and Angus, but the strikers could not deliver and players were becoming frustrated.

With 15 minutes to go a loose ball from Elsenham bobbled badly and found the net to put Elsenham in the lead, to the amazement of their players and spectators.

Panthers did all they could to bring the game back, leaving Jaz at the back on his own Knebworth, and pushing forward in numbers, some shots from the midfield tested the keeper but were unsuccessful, and the clock ticked away to the final whistle.

Roebuck Wanderers V's Bedwell Rangers

Freddie's on fire and Fires Five

An excellent team performance enabled Roebuck to capture all six points in this double header versus Bedwell.

A solid defence marshalled by Skipper Brad Pearce and the dependable Sam Cakir laid the foundations for a gritty team performance.

The defensive display gave a platform for Harry Butler and George Bates to take command in midfield, ably assisted by wingers Sam Lucey and Jake Giammarco.

Roebuck's effort and overall dominance slowly came to fruition as Freddie displayed his finisher's credentials, bagging all five goals in the 2-1 and 3-0 wins.
