Royston motorcycle rider James East suffered another setback after crashing out on the first lap of free practice session last Saturday at Oulton Park in round 2 of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championships.
The Brabus/opus Kawasaki Team managed to repair the bike for qualifying session, but with misfiring and timing issues East could only manage two laps to qualify in 29th position on the starting grid.
Further gearbox malfunction cause real problems during the race and James savaged a 22nd finishing place.
East said: “Having put behind us the problems with suspension and set up that we have previously experienced, I’m looking forward to the next race at Snetterton and a place in the top 10.”
