Heydon Grange Golf Club’s Venerables held its annual captain’s day on Friday.
A near record turnout played the Essex and Cambs courses for the Soanes Trophy, which was won by David Jack with 40 points.
Other prize winners were: Steve King - Nearest Pin (Cambs 4th); John Faherty - Longest Drive (Cambs 7th); Martin Lane - Best Nine (Cambs); David Baker - Longest Drive (Essex 6th); Ron Webster - Nearest Pin (Essex 8th); Graham Kipping - Best Nine (Essex); Paul Kidman and Barry Jackson - Hidden Pairs.
