Knebworth 1 Royston Town Colts U-15 1 A HARD-fought contest saw the visitors put the ball in the net three times but they were forced to settle for a draw. They had a goal disallowed in the first half, conceded an own goal at the start of the second period, and finally got a goal that counted midway through the half. The first minute of the second half saw the home side whip the ball from the left hand side into the Royston penalty area, where an attempted headed clearance from the defence saw it find the back of the net. The equaliser came when a pass into the penalty area saw Karl Smith make no mistake from close range.
