TALENTED youngsters from across Royston and the surrounding areas came together last week and showcased their talents in a kwik cricket festival.
The event which was held at Greneway School and supported by the North East Herts School Partnership, featured pupils from Icknield Walk, Studlands Rise, and Reed First School.
The day was organised and run by Greneway's Year 8 young sports leaders who led the children in coaching sessions and small double wicket matches.
The central focus was on enjoyment, skill development and teamwork.
Terry Graves of Greneway School said: "The key was to have fun while learning, and the children certainly did that, both the players and the young leaders. This was a superb example of what can be achieved with young people working together." Picture: SUPPLIED
