Bassingbourn Village College netball team have been crowned district champions after a thrilling golden goal final.
On route the Year 7 and 8 girls swept aside a number of schools, before meeting Perse School in the final. With the scores level at 3-3, Holly Austen grabbed Bassingbourn's winner.
A spokesman for the school said: "The girls have gone down in the school's history and after a tough competition were deserved winners. The school is very proud."
The winning squad: Holly Auster, Sophie Poterill, Isobel Eagle-Wilsher, Georgina Cook, Lizzie Smith, Sarah Gilbert, and Jodie Dougal.
