TOWN'S penultimate game saw them again travel away, this time to lowly placed Caddington.

Back to full strength, an expected victory was finally forthcoming, but it was far from simple.

On a hard, bumpy surface, Royston started brightly, and completely dominated for the first 10 minutes or so.

However, failure to convert any of a number of good chances gave the hosts a little confidence, and it took some good defending and a couple of good saves from Sam Booth in the Royston goal to keep it all square at the break.

Following the half-time team talk Royston then upped the tempo, and completely dominated the second period.

With only a couple of minutes gone Matt Lewis lobbed the keeper only to see his effort come back off the bar.

This seemed to ignite the Royston side into action, and from a similar move Paul Still cut in from the right and drove a shot into the far corner.

The second came from Greg Jackson who hammered home from close in, again following great build up play.

Now playing with confidence, the Crows attacked at every opportunity, and the third goal came this time from the left through Chris Geldart, who made up ground before hammering an accurate shot inside the near post.

The home side grabbed a consolation, before substitute Tom Bradley stole the ball away from the last defender, left all in his stride before coolly slotting past the advancing keeper.

Royston: S Booth, R Lowden, J Gamble, A Stodart, C Geldart, D Bird, P Still, M Lewis, C Burks, G Jackson, T Bradley, T Parry, B Bowles.

- Royston have been awarded the league points after Loughton Orient failed to raise a side for their game at Garden Walk on Saturday April 21.

The Crows wrap up their league fixtures with a trip to title chasing Cockfosters reserves on Saturday.
