IT was goals galore in Banyers'opening game of the Cambs League Division 3B season in a highly entertaining game with Gransden.
Banyers started well, and opened the scoring through player-manager Darren Dyer.
However Gransden - who were relegated from Division 2 last season - hit back with an instant leveller.
Both teams attacked at every opportunity with the Banyers strikers missing a number of chances, and goalkeeper Adrian Pigg making two crucial saves.
Gransden scored minutes after the restart, and were given another chance to extend their league with a penalty, which Pigg saved.
The home side snatched two more goals either side of a Steve Paul effort, and at 4-2, Banyers were still in the match.
Dan Ratcliffe then rifled in their third, before Paul scored an outrageous equaliser straight from a corner.
However, Banyers' hard work was undone when a lack of concentration led to Gransden pinching a late winner with seconds on the clock.
