BASSINGBOURN Primary School completed a successful football season with the girls' team winning the Girls South Cambridgeshire Primary Schools League.
The boys' team also ended a successful year by finishing as runners-up in their league.
Head teacher Jane Murray said: "Both teams did very well, particularly the girls - to win the league is a marvellous achievement."
Girls' captain Karyna Manuel, who was her team's top scorer, said: "We won every game so we definitely deserved to win. I think it's the first time the girls' team have won the league so I'm really proud.
