AFTER last week's impressive performances, Royston Table Tennis Club have endured a mixed set of results in their recent NHTTA league fixtures.
The A team secured a second successive victory in the Premier Division, where two singles each from Dave Bridges and John Manley plus a doubles success and a Simon Cockman single saw Royston home with a 6-4 victory over Bedwell B.
And in Division Three, the return of Barry Sharp inspired the E team to bounce back from last week's disastrous game to record a 7-3 win against Bedwell G. Sharp's three singles and his doubles win with Fred Bendall, who also won his two singles, ensured the victory, with Elaine Hanworth adding the other point.
In Division Two, the previously unbeaten D team came up against a strengthened Artos TTC B, and two singles from Julian Lugg and one apiece from Derek Clark and Andy Teemal were not enough to avoid a 6-4 defeat.
Elsewhere, in Division One the B team could manage only two singles from Yuci Gou, and one from Alf Mills, as they went down 7-3 at Bedwell E.
