BARRINGTON and Fowlmere will meet in the final of the Chris Boote Memorial Tournament tomorrow (Friday).

It has been another entertaining affair, with BIS Division 1A rivals Fowlmere and Barrington set to battle it out and end their season's with a piece of silverware.

In the first semi-final on Monday, Barrington needed extra-time to see off the threat of Melbourn.

Goals from Chad Carter-Woodrow, and an Andrew Bell double cancelled out Jason Gray's sole strike for Melbourn.

In Tuesday's second semi-final, Fowlmere edged out Cambourne Rovers, who had previously knocked out favourites and cup holders Foxton, in a narrow 2-1 win.

Trevor Symonds grabbed Cambourne's goal, with Dan Caley and Danny Mizon on target for Fowlmere.

Fowlmere had progressed to the semi-final after they beat Fowlmere Metals, with Karyl Darcey, Sean Douglas and Dan Caley netting in a comfortable win for Steve Walker's side.

The final will take place tomorrow at 6.30pm at Fowlmere Sports Ground.

On Sunday a Tottenham Hotspur Vets side that included Danny Maddix and Mark Falco beat the Chris Boote All Stars 5-4.

FOWLMERE held their presentation night on Saturday, where the impressive Karyl Darcey capped a successful year by winning the manager's player of the year award.

Dan Caley scooped the player's player of the year, with James Kenzie winning the club's young player of the year.

Chris Jelly won the reserve team manager's player of the year, while Ben Sewell claimed reserve team player's player. Mark Osbourne was awarded most improved player, while Darren Sewell won the clubman of the year award.
