The abandonment gave title rivals Waresley the chance to close the gap between the two sides - and they obliged with a 96-run win away at Fordham.
The teams, both of whom have already secured promotion, now go into the final round of matches separated by just five points.
Foxton, who remain top with 368 points, travel to Cambridge NCI on Saturday, while Waresley (363 points) host Eaton Socon.
