THANK you to John Taylor (Postbag, June 5) for voicing publicly the concerns of many tenants over the way in which the proposed transfer of housing stock is being "managed" by South Cambridgeshire District Council.

I endorse every one of his comments, having battled for months to be provided with the implications - in particular, the legal aspects - regarding the two options: staying with the district council or transferring to a housing association.

The "independent" consultants, given the remit to inform and advise tenants, are promoting nothing more than district council propaganda and refuse to engage in any balanced discussions.

I therefore support fully the challenge to the district council to allow a full and unbiased debate.

Every tenant has a vote on the future of their home. Making an informed and democratic decision on such a crucial issue can only be made when we are party to the facts and views on both sides.
