THE proposed Baldock Road site for Royston's new fire and ambulance station was the subject of a joint public inquiry at Royston Town Hall.

Objections to a compulsory purchase order was raised by the owners of the land on the grounds that the proposed site was unnecessary, that it could be dangerous to the proposed school at the rear and that other sites were available.
