I HAVE read the recent correspondence in The Crow and report regarding Royston and District Museum. The support for the museum expressed by Liz Beardwell and Philip Smith is very much welcomed. I feel readers of your paper should understand that the opinions voiced by Cllr Rod Kennedy are his own. Royston Town Council is proud of its commitment to the museum and has total confidence in the professionalism of the curator and her assistant. It also appreciates the enthusiasm and time given to the museum by a group of loyal volunteers. Without their help the museum would not function. Without the continued contribution made by the volunteer stitchers and designer of the Royston tapestry this amazing project would not proceed and become a vital part of the future heritage of Royston.
