TWENTY-five years ago when we came to live in Royston it was beautiful.

One of the good points was FREE PARKING. How much do traffic wardens get paid? What is the income from car parks? Could one offset the other? If there is no charge there is no need for traffic wardens.

Church Lane had beautiful flowers in the tubs.

There were trees by the old library. Why were they not incorporated into the plans or at least replaced?

Pavements have always been a problem. I used to wear high heels before coming to Royston, but the pavements have always been too dangerous. The revamp of the High Street was a total waste of money.

The last straw was the recent increase in rates for the shops. Why cripple an already struggling industry?
