THE formation of a branch of the Royal British Legion in Baldock will take place with a meeting at the community centre, at

Simpson Drive, on Friday, May 5 at 7.30pm.

Anyone who would like to know more about us - or even join us - are welcome to come along.

Under the constitution of the Royal British Legion we have to have at least 15 signed-up members to open a branch, from which we must elect a chairman, secretary and treasurer.

Please come and support this worthwhile cause.

The opening of the branch will be a welcome addition to the community of Baldock for men and women and, if required, we will open a youth section.

The branch will play an active part in Baldock activities throughout the year.
