AS anticipated there was something of an uproar when the subject of gipsy sites came up at Bassingbourn Parish Council. Most of it occured when the meeting was thrown open for the public to express views about the proposed site. One irate resident called

One irate resident called for the resignation of the council over the proposa, which he described as "montrous" and "disgusting".
