The appointment of an assistant head and a head of sixth form has been made at Royston’s Meridian School as long-serving headteacher Dr Michael Firth prepares to retire.
Zoe Andrews and Clive Crisford will begin their new roles in September.
Assistant head Zoe comes from Cottenham Academy where she held the same position.
In addition to her leadership responsibilities, the chemistry graduate will be joining the science department.
She said: “I am delighted and very excited to have been asked to join the leadership team at Meridian, a school with a fine history and a great future.”
Clive comes from The Netherhall School and Sixth Form in Cambridge, where he was deputy director of sixth form.
He studied product design at Brunel University, before working at Esher Sixth Form College in Surrey.

Clive said: “I was so impressed with the quality of teaching and support that Meridian offers its sixth form students and I am very much looking forward to becoming part of such a great team in September.”
Deputy head Kim Horner said: “We look forward to working with our new colleagues.”
Pending a permanent appointment to replace Dr Firth, who is retiring after 37 years at the school, Kim becomes acting headteacher and David Atkins will serve as acting deputy head.
A farewell party has been arranged for Dr Firth between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, July 16, and the school is encouraging any past pupils and parents to join them in celebrating his retirement.
Dr Firth previously told the Crow: “I’ve worked in Royston for 37 wonderful years with outstanding colleagues and literally thousands of students who are a great credit to their parents and the town.
“I am very proud of what we have achieved and know that the school and academy trust will go forward from strength to strength.”
