Enterprising youngsters have been raising money for their youth club by holding a raffle.
The members of the Burns Road Hangout, which meets at the Coombes Community Centre each week, have been busy selling tickets and sourcing prizes from firms in the town.
Royston’s mayor, councillor Victoria Hulstrom-Allen, oversaw the prize draw on Tuesday, while a number of other councillors were also present as special guests.
Gemma Crosk, North Herts District Council play development officer, said: “We have been asking all local Royston businesses to donate raffle prizes and they have been extremely supportive of the club and we have some fantastic prizes to be won.
“The young people have been selling the raffle tickets to friends and family for the past couple of weeks, as well as some of the businesses offering to sell them too.”
