Youngsters are invited to a sing-and-dance tea party at Royston’s district museum this weekend, led by a music play consultant from the town.

Linda Bance will lead the jolly sing-song of nursery rhymes at the museum in Lower King Street as part of their exhibition, Songs from my Childhood.

Museum assistant Amy Judd said: “This has been such a wonderful exhibition that has brought lots of smiles to faces.

“So many people have come in and as soon as they see the nursery rhymes they burst into song! We’ve had musical instruments for our visitors to play too and it’s been great hearing them.

“Everyone, young and the young at heart, is invited to our Nursery Rhyme Tea Party on Saturday, November 4.”

The session is from 10.30am to 12 noon and you’re free to come and go as you need to.

There will also be refreshments and a nursery rhyme trail around the museum. Admission is free.
