MORE than 120 runners are set to take part in this year's Royston Fun Run on Sunday. The 3k event - organised by the Royston Runners and part sponsored by The Crow - will be taking place on Therfield Heath. The club will not be running its longer heath trail, but hopes to replace it with a new event in September. Club spokesman Carol Ford said: "Many people were reluctant to run off-road as they were preparing for the London Marathon." The event on Sunday will be for boys and girls under-15, under-13, under-11, under-nine, under-seven and under-five. "We believe this is an ideal opportunity for children to start thinking about running and use it as a chance to raise money for their school or club," said Miss Ford. The race will begin at 10am.
