YOUNGSTERS are being given the chance to swim for free this weekend.
Under-18s will be able to swim for nothing at Royston leisure centre on Saturday in celebration of the forthcoming 2012 Olympics in London.
The special event has been organised by North Herts District Council, and will run at Royston, as well as the North Herts Leisure Centre in Letchworth and Hitchin Swimming Centre.
At Royston, children's activities will be taking place in the sports hall from 1-3pm, while at Letchworth, free taster gym sessions will be available for over-16s.
The 2012 Day is part of a national initiative to promote the forthcoming Olympic and Paralympic London games.
It is being held on Saturday because it is the 20th day of the 12th month.
