St Catherine’s church in Litlington will be offering villagers an unusual attraction at their May Day fete – the opportunity to guess the weight of a four-month-old baby.

Little Logan Bell is the youngest member of the congregation of St Catherine’s, but parents Adrian Bell and Kirsty Martin thought that was no excuse not to take part in the May Day fun .

Kirsty said: “We always have a guess the weight of the cake competition so we thought we could involve Logan in his very first church fete by asking people to guess his weight instead.”

Logan will be weighed at baby clinic prior to the fete with his weight kept in a sealed envelope until the end.

There will also be bouncy castles, children’s games and a barbecue and bar a the fete in the church grounds from 12.30pm to 3pm on Monday. Postcode is SG8 0RT. Money raised at the event will go towards church upkeep.
