THE Rotary Club of Royston has launched a new project for young people.
Teams from Bassingbourn Village College, Freman College, Buntingford, Melbourn Village College, Ralph Sadleir School, Buntingford, Edwinstree School, Buntingford, Greneway School, Royston, The Meridian School, Royston and Roysia School, Royston, will be taking part.
The teams will tackle a design and build problem.
At the end of the day, they will have to demonstrate their construction to a panel of judges to show whether it meets the criteria.
Ken Charles, the club's youth opportunities chairman, said: "The aim is to give young people a new and challenging experience as they exercise and develop their skills working in a team with time restraints.
The event will be taking place at the Royston Leisure Centre on Wednesday, February 6.
The awards will be presented by Royston's MP Oliver Heald.
