Three local artists are gearing up to stage an exhibition in Royston next month.
Mike Dobson, Paul Human and Rowland will showcase their eclectic work at Curwens Art Gallery in High Street.
The trio have very different styles and interests.
Royston artist Mike paints vivid portraits of famous faces such as Maggie Smith, Einstein (pictured) and Hilary Mantel.
He will paint or draw any subject and particularly enjoys experimenting.
He uses an array of materials in his paintings, applying them to unusual canvas substitutes.
Paul Human’s work ranges from abstract to fine art. He currently experiments with oil on gesso panels and engravings. Paul will showcase his pastel work at the exhibition.
The third artist – Row Penfold – specialises in wood turning, with a strong emphasis on the shape and form of bowls.
His art is mainly made of homegrown timbers with other materials integrated into it.
The exhibition will run from July 15 until mid September and will be open weekdays only from 9.30am until 4.30pm.
A preview evening will be held on July 22 from 6pm until 8pm.
Light refreshments will be served at the event.
For more than five years, local artists have exhibited work at the Curwens Solicitors office in the High Street.
The idea was to liven up what was a very long and bare wall.
The exhibition is free to the public to pop in and take a look anytime.
