The Royston Leos have made their first charity donation since the club was formed last year.
A cheque for £100 was presented this week to staff of Wood Green, The Amimals Charity’s shop in the town’s High Street.
The Leos – who are a junior branch of the Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organisation – raised the money by running a school stationery shop and holding a chocolate tombola.
The Royston Leos club is open to youngsters aged 12 to 14 living in the area. They meet at Greneway School on the third Thursday each month.
