The A10 north of Buntingford was closed temporarily last night after a crash involving two vehicles.
Police were called at 11.12pm after a Citroen C3 and a Kia Sedona collided.
The road was closed northbound at the junction with the Wyddial turn-off while emergency services worked at the scene.
A woman was left trapped in the Citroen and was freed by the fire service.
Both vehicles were recovered and the road was reopened at around 1.15am.
