A woman in Melbourn received multiple injuries when the mobility scooter she was travelling on was involved in a collison with a van on Saturday.
The ambulance service was called at about 2.40pm, and sent an ambulance crew, hazardous area response team, and a Magpas air ambulance to the scene in New Road. Police were called shortly afterwards and the road was closed.
The injuries the woman in her 40s sustained are understood to be serious but not life-threatening and she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by land ambulance for further care.
The road was reopened at about 5.30pm.
