LOUIS Townsend had a dream meeting with England soccer international Ledley King after winning a competition.

The 11-year-old from Royston won a competition in Junior Spurs Magazine to interview the centre-half, and met up with him at Tottenham's Chigwell training ground on Thursday.

To win the competition, Louis had to send a list of 10 questions he would like to ask King, and the pair were filmed while Louis interviewed the Spurs player.

The film was then shown on the giant screen at White Hart Lane before Tottenham's game against Manchester United on Monday.

Unfortunately for Louis, he was unable to get tickets for the game, and King also missed the clash after suffering a stress fracture in a bone in his foot - an injury which leaves his World Cup hopes in the balance.

Louis, who is captain of the Roysia School team in his age group, and is vice-captain of Royston Town Colts, won the competition with a list of questions that included: "What was it like to put on a Spurs shirt for the first time?", "Who was your childhood hero?" and "What was it like to play against Arsenal for the first time?"

He said it was a great thrill to meet his hero.

"I really enjoyed it, Ledley was really nice. I've always supported Spurs. Ledley's my favourite player, but I would have entered the competition anyway," he said.
