A NEW work of art has been commissioned to mark a village college's 50th birthday.
Artist Sarah McNicol is to create a design in kiln glass to go on display at Melbourn Village College.
College warden Elaine Stephenson said: "This project is a real opportunity for us to celebrate the unique role of the village college in the community."
The prominent position of the window means that it is viewed more than 64,000 times a year, not just through the daily visits of pupils and staff, but by members of the local community who come to use the sports facilities, youth club, and adult education classes.

There will be a public preview of the new window designs at the college on Tuesday, March 31, from 6-8.30pm.
