The Royston Branch of the WI’s morning group did a litter-pick around the centre of the town yesterday.
Back in 2013 the national WI ran the campaign, SOS For High Streets, and since then the Royston WI’s AM group set up a small team to press for improvements to the town centre.
The group’s Marian Bunting said: “We concentrated on cleanliness and maintenance of the High Street’s surface and are looking forward to the planned improvements.
“A large number of bin bags we filled so we were pleased with our morning’s work!”
