CHILDHOOD ambitions became reality for staff at a Buntingford supermarket on Monday.
Co-op staff dressed up as characters they wanted to be when they were younger, including a ballerina and a pilot, to launch a national fundraising campaign for The Children's Society.
They joined 25,000 colleagues from across the country to kickstart the campaign which aims to raise £1million by the end of the year for the charity, which supports disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
Store manager John Wilkinson said: "Money raised at stores will directly benefit children in the region, and we will be pulling out all the stops to raise as much as we can.
