Youngsters at Bumpkins Preschool in Whaddon are making good use of Montessori equipment as part of their getting ready for school initiative.

My Road to School follows a series of steps which promote social skills and tasks including getting dressed and using cutlery to prepare them for the move up to school in September next year.

Nursery director Jaena Nabi said: “We firmly believe in learning through play. The children have fun without even realising they’re learning because the Montessori equipment is so fun and colourful.”
