The Met Office has issued another yellow warning in Stevenage and North Herts for snow and ice, which will be in place until 11.55pm.
Heavy snow is currently plummeting in the area and is set to continue into the night as Storm Emma arrives in full swing.
Temperatures have once again not managed to make it above freezing today, at -1°C in Stevenage, and -2°C in Letchworth and Royston. With the bitterly cold wind, it is feeling more like -10°C.
The warning states that freezing conditions will lead to icy patches which may be difficult to see, and delays and cancellations to public transport are likely.
Just as today’s weather warning expires, another for ice will be in its place for Hertfordshire from 12.05am until 11am tomorrow.
