TRAIN services across Crow Country are being cancelled and severely delayed today (Tuesday), after heavy downpours and lightning have affected signalling.

Both First Capital Connect and East Coast have reported delays. Services leaving and going to Kings Cross and Cambridge are affected, and are expected to continue well into the evening.

Services to and from Royston, Foxton, Meldreth, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock, Arlesey and Knebworth will all be affected.

A Network Rail spokesman said: “There are a number of delays as a result of the weather. We have got our engineers on the case, and hope to resolve the problem as soon as possible.”
