Watchful residents could form new group

Meeting to discuss neighbourhood watch proposals

Police community support officers from the Royston neighbourhood team have been working with residents association the North Royston Action Group (NRAG), and local councillors, to establish a scheme for the Burns Road/Betjeman Road area of Royston.

Jayne Bratton, from NRAG, said: “Current ideas include holding a community street party or a kids activity day, but we want to get thoughts from as many different people as possible.”

Representatives from the police will be present at the meeting, together with Cllr Rob Inwood, who represents the area on Royston Town Council and North Herts District Council.

It takes place at Coombes community centre on Wednesday, July 28, starting at 7.30pm.
