THE first NHS blood donor session of the year was held in Royston on Friday.
Around 30 volunteers stopped by at the Coombes Community Centre in Burns Road to give their 470mls of blood.
Anne McShane, a donator from Steeple Morden, said: “I have always enjoyed giving blood, and will do it until they carry me off in a box!”
The next NHS blood donor session is on Tuesday April 12 from 12.40pm until 3.20pm. It will be held at the mobile unit at Tesco on Old North Road.
