OUTSTANDING villages in Crow Country are being encouraged to enter a village of the year contest.
Hertfordshire Village of the Year 2009 is being organised by the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England, in association with Herts County Council and North Herts District Council.
Competing villages will be judged on four areas of rural village life: environment, business, people and communications.
The deadline for entries is April 28, and judging will take place in June.
